Reschedule Subsequent Recurring Visits with Home Health
As a scheduler, you can reschedule a series of upcoming recurring visits in one go,
depending on a patient’s availability and preferences. Home Health’s support for rescheduling a
series of subsequent visits helps you increase operational efficiencies and reduce the
administrative delays that arise when you manually reschedule each visit one at a
time.

User Permissions Needed
To reschedule recurring visits:
Manage Home Health
The location of the user interface where you can schedule visits depends on how your
Salesforce admin configures your org. If you can’t find the user interface, ask your Salesforce
admin for help.
In the App Launcher, find and select Home Health.
Go to the Accounts tab and open the patient’s record page.
In the All Home Visits section, select the visit, click the Action button, and then select
Reschedule Subsequent Visits.
Use the calendar view and filters to find specific visits.
Note
You can’t reschedule visits that are part of group visits.
If you reschedule a dependent visit, Home Health reschedules all subsequent and dependent
visits as well.
Select the date and time that the patient wants to reschedule the first subsequent
visit.
If you know when to reschedule the visit, select Specific Time
from the Scheduling Preference field and use the Start Time and End Time fields.
If you only know the time slots when the patient is open to visits, select
Available Hours from the Scheduling Preference field.
Specify how often the visits should recur.
In the Visit Frequency field, select either Every Day or
Days of the Week.
If you selected Days of the Week, then select the days that you want the visits to
recur.
Select an appropriate scheduling policy. If you don’t know what scheduling policy to use,
ask your Salesforce admin for help.
Click Reschedule, and then click
Finish.
Home Health reschedules the subsequent recurring visits for the patient’s care service type.
The assignment for the rescheduled visits happens in the background and Home Health notifies you
when this is done.
