Start the Primary Source Verification Process

Start the Primary Source Verification Process

As a credentialing specialist at the payer’s office, verify your providers in days instead of weeks. After the provider completes the credentialing application, call them and verify the information in their application form, so you can certify or license the provider with a healthcare organization. Our process captures some competencies for the provider right from the recruiting phase, and saves time and cost while providing full transparency throughout the process.

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud

          User Permissions Needed

          1. From the Person Account record of the provider, click Primary Source Verification.
All information given by the provider during credentialing is retrieved for verification.
          2. Review the provider's basic information and make changes, if necessary, and then click Next.
          3. Review the provider's specialty, board certification, work history, and other details, and update them, as required.
          4. Review the provider’s answers in the questionnaires for disciplinary actions, professional liability, health status, and Medicare. Depending on the provider's input, retain or change the answers.
          5. Verify the provider’s billing address and update it, if necessary, and then click Next.
          6. Depending on whether you changed any provider information during the call, select Yes or No.
            • If you select Yes, the credentialing application is regenerated and sent to the provider for e-signature. Salesforce updates relevant objects with the updated information.
            • If you select No, the provider doesn’t need to take any further action.
          7. When you're done, click Next.

That's all there is! You see a confirmation and Salesforce creates a contract, updates the application record status, and changes the case status to Approved.
