Milestone Billing, also referred to as Hybrid Billing, allows insurers to split premium
and fee amounts across multiple invoices based on predefined milestone percentages and offset
dates. This approach supports down payments and staggered collections across the policy
lifecycle.

Milestone Billing is driven by Billing Treatments, which define how amounts are distributed
over time, and is executed through policy lifecycle events using the standalone billing
API.
Configure Milestone Billing for an Insurance Policy Set up an insurance policy and configure billing information with a milestone-based billing treatment, including defining percentage splits and offset dates using billing treatment items.
Generate Billing Schedules This task describes how billing schedules and billing schedule groups are generated for a policy using milestone (hybrid) billing during policy issuance.
