Product selling models define how products are sold and billed. This is a Revenue Cloud
concept that works in conjunction with Product Catalog Management to determine how products are
structured, priced, and invoiced.

Note : The Evergreen product selling model isn’t supported in Agency Billing.
From an Agency Billing perspective, Product Selling Models are used to control how policy
charges are invoiced over time. Agency Billing supports three Product Selling Models to cover
all standard invoicing scenarios. To ensure full coverage of Agency Billing use cases, you
must create three corresponding Product Selling Model records.
The One Time product selling model is used when the entire policy is invoiced on a single
invoice date. This model is appropriate for policies that don’t require installment-based
billing. When creating this product selling model, select One Time as
the Selling Model Type. The Pricing Term and Pricing Term Unit fields are not applicable for
this model and can be left with their default values. You can activate the record during
creation or activate it later when needed.
The Term-Based Monthly product selling model is used when a policy is invoiced on a
monthly basis. This model supports installment billing across the policy term. When creating
this product selling model, select Term-Defined as the Selling Model
Type, set the Pricing Term to 1, and select Month
as the Pricing Term Unit.
The Term-Based Quarterly product selling model is used when a policy is invoiced
quarterly. Similar to monthly billing, this model supports installment-based invoicing over
the policy term but with a quarterly cadence. When creating this product selling model,
select Term-Defined as the Selling Model Type, set the Pricing Term
to 1, and select Quarterly as the Pricing Term
Unit.
Together, these three product selling models ensure that Agency Billing supports
one-time, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual invoicing scenarios consistently
across all policies.
