To assign surcharges:
Manage Revenue Cloud
The sequence number that you assign controls the order in which surcharges are calculated
for the product. A surcharge with a lower sequence number is calculated before one with a
higher number. This ordering is critical when one surcharge's value depends on another; for
example, a tax calculated on a fee amount.
From the App Launcher, find and select Products.
Select the product that you want to add the surcharge to.
On the product record page, open the Product Surcharge tab and
select Add Product Surcharge.
Select the surcharge from the list, then save your work.
Enter a Sequence Number.
Surcharges with lower numbers are calculated first. For example, assign sequence 1 to a
fee and sequence 2 to a tax that's calculated on the fee amount. Make sure that the
sequence number is unique for each product surcharge related to a product.
Enter Effective From and Effective To
dates to define when this surcharge is active for the product.
These dates must fall within the parent surcharge's effective date range.
Optional: If the surcharge type is Fee, make sure the Product field is
populated.
For Fee surcharges, the Product field is required. The Tax
Treatment field isn't applicable to fees and must be left empty.
Select Configure from the dropdown menu for the
surcharge.
On the Create New Rule screen, select Add Attribute in the
Conditions section.
Add details about the attribute value to apply the surcharge to.
Save your changes.
The system auto-populates the Pricing Procedure Variable field with a read-only value that
combines the product code and surcharge name (for example, autoSilver__NY
Fee). The calculated surcharge amount is stored in the pricing procedure context
in a variable whose name is the value of the Pricing Procedure Variable field.
