            Insurance Quote Configurator

            Internal users can use the Quote Configurator to quickly create and configure quotes.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

            Create an Insurance Quote

            Discover and price insurance products for your customers by using quotes.

            Required Editions

            User Permissions Needed
            To create quotes: Create on Quotes
            1. Create a quote.
              • On an opportunity, in the Quotes section, click New Quote.
              • On the Quotes tab, click New Quote.
            2. Enter the quote details, such as the name, account, opportunity, and status.
            3. If needed, select any custom fields that your admin enabled.
            4. Save your changes.

            Configure an Insurance Quote

            To configure a quote, add products and edit product configurations.

            Required Editions

            To configure a quote:

            Create Orders from Quotes

            AND

            Price and Tax Calculation for Quoting
            1. On the quote record page, click Browse Catalogs.
            2. Select a price book, and then save your selection.
            3. Select a product catalog, and then click Next.
            4. Click Add on the product that you want to add to the quote.
            5. After adding the products, click Save Quote.
            6. Configure product details and calculate premiums.
              1. Click the gear icon next to Add.
              2. Enter the configuration details.
              3. To view pricing based on the product configuration details that you entered, click Update Prices.
              4. After configuring the product, click Save & Exit.
            7. After configuring the product details for all products , click Save Quote.

            Modify Insurance Quote Line Items

            Make changes to the line items on a quote by configuring the line item.

            Required Editions

            To modify quote line items:

            Create Orders from Quotes

            AND

            Price and Tax Calulation for Quoting
            Note
            Note You can't deep clone a Digital Insurance quote or order its quote line items by the product code.
            1. On the quote record, on the Quote Line Items tab, select Configure from the list on the product or line item that you want to modify.
            2. Make the changes.
            3. To view pricing based on the product configuration details that you entered, click Update Prices.
            4. Click Save & Exit.
