Assign Producer Role to a Policy

Assign a role to producers at policy level either from an account record or outside of an account.

Assign Producer Role from Account

Assign a role to producers at policy level from an account record.

Available in: Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions where Financial Service Cloud and Insurance Brokerage are enabled

User Permissions Needed
To assign producer role from account:	Insurance Commissions Management and Insurance Brokerage User

From the App Launcher, find and select Insurance Policies, and then select the policy for which you want to assign the producer role.
From an Insurance policy record page, on the Producer Role Assignment related list, click Assign New Role.
Select Assign Producer Roles from Account.
If line of business (LOB) data is available at the policy level, then the producer roles that appear are filtered on the basis of LOB. Otherwise, all the producer roles created at the account level appear.
Review the records and clear the selection for the producer records that you don't want for policies.
Save your work.
A message confirms that the producer role has been assigned.

Assign a producer role that’s not part of the account.

To assign producer role from outside of account:	Insurance Commissions Management and Insurance Brokerage User

From a policy record page, on the Producer Role Assignment related list, click Assign New Role.
Select Assign Producer Roles from Outside Of Account.
Select the required values and save your work.
A message appears stating that the producer role has been assigned.
