Customize Data Entry and Calculations for Claim Coverage Payments
Configure the fields that a claim adjuster fills to add a loss or expense item for a
claim coverage. Use the fields in your custom Expression Sets or Integration Procedures to
calculate the adjusted claim amount and process limits with contextual data.
The payment detail configuration is a mapping that links a specific coverage product to a
custom user interface or custom logic.
Field Sets: You can create custom Field Sets on the Claim Coverage
Payment Detail (CCPD) object. By configuring a product to a field set, define both the
fields that appear in the data entry form and the contextual data that's available to your
calculation logic. See Contextual Data in Custom Calculations.
Expression Sets and Integration Procedures: For more advanced
scenarios involving Loss Items, you can configure an Expression Set or Integration Procedure
to override the default system logic for calculating adjusted amounts or processing
limits.
Loss and Expense Mapping: The configuration is separate for Loss
and Expense items. Expense item mapping typically requires only a Field Set as complex
calculation overrides are less common.
Contextual Data in Custom Calculations When you configure a field set for a coverage product, fields from the field set become available in your custom expression set or Integration Procedure. Use the fields for context-aware adjustment calculations and limit processing.
Create Field Sets Salesforce has a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG tool for creating field sets.
