After upgrading the Insurance package to version 890.479, users may see field permission errors when performing InsurancePolicy operations if they don’t have access to the IsPolicyEditLocked and RatingDate fields.
Insurance Policy Operations Can Fail Due to Missing Field Permissions
After upgrading the Insurance package to version 890.479, users may see field permission errors when performing InsurancePolicy operations if they don’t have access to the IsPolicyEditLocked and RatingDate fields.
Where: Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions with the Insurance Industries managed package and the Insurance Industries Extension managed package.
Why: This release includes a security update that enforces field-level security checks to IsPolicyEditLocked and RatingDate. As a result, the services that read or update the those fields now require explicit Read and Edit access. If users don’t have the required permissions, the operation is blocked.
How:
- Standard profiles: No action required. Field access is granted automatically as part of the upgrade.
- Custom profiles or permission sets: Ensure users have Read and Edit access to InsurancePolicy.IsPolicyEditLocked and InsurancePolicy.RatingDate. Update the relevant profiles or permission sets and assign them to users who perform policy-related operations.
