Configure Permissions on Display Card
Assign permissions to Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud users and system administrators to grant access to visits and tasks.
Required Editions
The CG Cloud offline mobile app honors Salesforce platform permissions. If a sales rep doesn’t have access to objects or fields in Salesforce, the synchronization of objects or fields to the mobile app fails. Missing permissions can result in missing objects or fields from the CG Cloud offline mobile app. Use permission sets to configure object permissions in CG Cloud. Set the field permissions in profiles. Assign read and write permissions to CGCloud_User_Profile and to the System Administrator on the new fields.
| Available in Lightning Experience in Professional, Unlimited, and Enterprise Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled. |

| To configure permission sets: | CGCloud Business Admin |
Here are the steps to set the permissions at an object level.
- From the permission sets setting, click CGCloud Sales User | Object Settings, and then select Display.
- Click Edit.
- In Object Permissions, select the create, edit, read, and delete permissions.
- In Field Level Security (FLS), make sure all fields are part of the Display Layout.
-
On the Display object, assign create, edit, read, and delete permissions to the system
administrator user.
If you use custom permission sets, make sure you merge the Consumer Goods Cloud permissions.
- Configure the field set permissions of the sales rep. Give the sales rep read access to all the fields in the Display object. Give the sales rep edit access to all the fields except Created By and Last Modified By.
- Review the system administrator profile permissions. Give the system administrator read and edit access to all the new fields of the Display object.
