Prerequisites Before you add enhancements to the master and detail pages to Display, install and set up the Consumer Goods Cloud managed package and other apps. Next, create the Displays custom card in the Your Day cockpit and add the detail layout.
Add Search and Index to Display List Configure search settings for the master list and add an index bar to the UI contract for quick navigation through the list.
Show Display Records as a Picklist Set up a picklist for the display records so that sales reps can quickly select a display type. Use Visual Studio Code based Modeler to create a domain and picklist for Display. Then, link them with a picklist mapping.
Set Edit Restrictions to Competitor Displays You can set the Competitor Display control as read-only on the mobile app if you don’t want the sales reps to modify the competitor flag setting in display records. Add a SetEARights method to the Display business object and call it in the afterLoadAsync method.
Wizard to Add Display Records Sales reps need to add display items on the go during store visits. Use Visual Studio Code based Modeler to integrate an Add wizard to the master-detail page of the Consumer Goods Cloud offline mobile app. Create a UI contract for the wizard and define its process flow. Then, configure the wizard in the master-detail process to show the add button on the master-detail page of the offline mobile app.
Show Error for Empty Display Name Value Use Visual Studio Code based Modeler to add a validation in the offline mobile app to check that the display name field isn’t empty.
