Create an App to Sync Imported External Stationary Asset Data with CRM Analytics
If you created a remote connection to import your external stationary asset data into
CRM Analytics, sync the data with CRM Analytics by creating an app by using the External
Stationary Asset Data template.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance,
Unlimited, and Developer Editions
From the App Launcher, find and select Analytics Studio.
Click Create, and then select App.
Select the External Stationary Asset Data template, and then click
Continue.
Review the preview page, and then click Continue.
Choose to create an app or to use settings from an existing app, and then click
Continue.
Analytics performs a compatibility check of the data in Salesforce.
If the compatibility check fails, follow the instructions in the error message to resolve
the issues, and then try to create the app again.
If the compatibility check completes successfully, click Looks good,
next.
Select the external connection that you configured to import your company’s external
stationary asset data into CRM Analytics.
Select an object that you configured for data sync as part of the external connection and
then click Looks good, next.
To map and sync the external stationary asset data with CRM Analytics, select the fields of
the object that stores the external data, and then click Looks good,
next.
Enter a name for your app, and then click Create.
The creation of the app takes a few minutes. When the process is complete, refresh
the page to view your app.
The app generates a CRM Analytics dataset that stores the external stationary asset data.
You can use this dataset to develop your predictions. To view the dataset, go to the Datasets
tab.
