Create an App to Predict Carbon Emissions from Supply Chain Activities

Create an App to Predict Carbon Emissions from Supply Chain Activities

Create an app by using the Prediction of Supply Chain Emissions template to get the prediction of supply chain emissions for a future year. The predictions are based on scope 3 procurement items, procurement emissions factor set items, your company’s growth factors, and USEEIO categories and the corresponding company growth factors.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience and the Salesforce mobile app
Available in: Enterprise, Developer, Performance, and Unlimited Editions
Available with the CRM Analytics for Net Zero add-on license
          1. In Analytics Studio, click Create, and then select App.
          2. Select the Prediction of Supply Chain Emissions template.
          3. Review the preview page, and then click Continue.
          4. Choose whether you want to create an app or to copy the settings from an existing app, and then click Continue.
Analytics runs a compatibility check of the data in Salesforce. If the data is not compatible, an error message is shown. Follow the instructions in the message to resolve the issues, and then try to create the app again.
          5. When the compatibility check completes successfully, click Looks good, next.
          6. Select a year with scope 3 emissions data for various USEEIO categories, to be used as a baseline to predict supply chain emissions.
The growth factor data in the baseline year is used to forecast supply chain emissions for a future year.
          7. Select the dataset containing your company’s growth factors.
Uploading the CSV file with your company’s growth factors generates this dataset. If you use a connector to sync this data, select the dataset generated by the app created by using the External Data to Predict Supply Chain Emissions template.
          8. Select the dataset containing USEEIO categories and the corresponding company growth factors.
