Create an App to Generate Datasets That Contains External Data
If you use a connector to sync external data that contains your company’s growth
factors and USEEIO categories and the corresponding growth factors, create an app by using the
External Data to Predict Supply Chain Emissions template to generate CRM Analytics datasets that
contain external data.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience and the Salesforce mobile app
Available in: Enterprise, Developer, Performance, and
Unlimited Editions
Available with the CRM Analytics for Net Zero add-on license
In Analytics Studio, click Create, and then select
App.
Select the External Data to Predict Supply Chain Emissions
template.
Review the preview page, and then click Continue.
Choose whether you want to create an app or to copy the settings from an existing app,
and then click Continue.
Analytics runs a compatibility check of the data in Salesforce. If the data is not
compatible, an error message is shown. Follow the instructions in the message to resolve
the issues, and then try to create the app again.
Select the external connection that was configured to sync your company’s growth factor
data with CRM Analytics.
Select an object where you want to store the connected growth factor data.
Click Looks good, next.
Select the fields from the object where you want to store the connected growth factor
data.
Click Looks good, next.
Select the external connection that was configured to sync USEEIO categories and the
corresponding growth factors with CRM Analytics.
Select an object where you want to store the connected USEEIO categories and the
corresponding growth factors.
Click Looks good, next.
Select the fields from the object where you want to store the connected USEEIO
categories and the corresponding growth factors.
Click Looks good, next.
Name your app, and then click Create.
Creating the app takes a few minutes.
When the process is completed, refresh the page.
The app generates CRM Analytics datasets containing the connected growth factor
data and the USEEIO categories and the corresponding growth factors.
To view the generated datasets, go to the DATASETS tab.
