          Enable Data Pipelines

          To use data processing engine definitions to query and compute data available in Salesforce, assign permission sets to users and enable data pipelines.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
          User Permissions Needed
          To create profiles and permission sets: Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
          To assign permission sets: Assign Permission Sets
          To create users: Manage Internal Users
          1. Assign the permission sets.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users.
            2. To create, customize, run, and monitor the data processing engine definitions, select an admin user.
            3. In the Permission Set Assignments section, click Edit Assignments.
            4. Select the Data Pipelines Base User permission set from the Available Permission Sets list, and move it to the Enabled Permission Sets list.
            5. To access data processing engine definitions to transform data, select a standard user.
            6. In the Permission Set Assignments section, click Edit Assignments.
            7. Select the Use Data Processing Engine permission set from the Available Permission Sets list, and move it to the Enabled Permission Sets list.
            8. Save your changes.
          2. Enable data pipelines.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Data Pipelines, and then select Get Started.
            2. Enable Data Pipelines.
            3. Refresh the page.
