Understand the Difference Between Volume and Tier Discounts
Distinguishing between volume and tiered discounts is crucial for applying the most effective pricing strategies to your products. Both methods allow you to offer discounts based on quantity purchased, often within specified date ranges, and can be integrated into your pricing engine.
Create Price Adjustment Tiers for Volume Discounts
Set up pricing rules that automatically adjust prices and offer discounts based on the quantities purchased by creating price adjustment tier records. You can use them to implement various strategies, including both volume or tiered discounts. This adjustment type enables you to define a product's price based on the number of items being sold.
Cumulative Pricing Using Volume or Tier Discount Elements
Customers can apply volume or tier-based discounts to a line item based on aggregated product quantities, whether from past purchases (asset quantity) or multiple line items within the same quote or order.
