Product selling models are an optional feature. You don't have to define or assign a selling model to use Product Catalog Management.
Product selling models have these types:
| Selling Model Type | Description |
|---|---|
| One Time | Sell a product one time, not as a subscription. |
| Term-Defined | Sell a product or a product subscription with an end date. |
| Evergreen | Sell a product or a product subscription that recurs until the user cancels it. |
For subscription selling models, you can define proration policies. A proration policy determines how to handle leftover subscription term amounts. See Create Proration Policies in Subscription Management.
