To use Asset Management, a Salesforce admin must first enable the feature and provide users with the required permissions.

User Permissions Needed
To enable Asset Management settings:	Customize Application
To assign permission sets:	Assign Permission Sets

Enable Asset Management
1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Asset Management Settings, and then select Asset Management Settings.
2. Turn on Asset Management.
Assign Permissions to Users
Give users the permissions they need to complete their asset management tasks.

Assign this permission set to internal users who work with asset records, such as Salesforce admins, asset managers, and investigators:
