Designed to automate high-performance, large-volume data processing, Data Processing Engine integrates data from multiple sources, applies transformations like filtering and aggregation, and delivers insights to inform business decisions. Data Processing Engine ensures that data flows smoothly across Salesforce and external systems, giving your users the accurate and up-to-date information they need without having to rely on manual updates or complex coding. Driven by metadata, Data Processing Engine is a visual tool that makes it easy to process data for analysis at scale.
Data Processing Engine is integral to several Public Sector features.
Accounting Subledger uses Data Processing Engine to transform financial transactional data in Salesforce into an accounting format. Set up a Data Processing Engine pipeline to generate accounting data, and use flows or invocable actions to run Accounting Subledger jobs.
Provider Search, which helps caseworkers find suitable care providers for constituents, uses Data Processing Engine to collate data from multiple provider management objects into one searchable object, Benefit Provider Searchable Field. Create and periodically run a Data Processing Engine definition to synchronize the searchable object with the data stored across the multiple provider management objects to ensure that caseworkers always find up-to-date data.
Record Rollups, which make it easy for caseworkers to find information from unrelated objects, such as to visualize and report on household information and to determine benefit eligibility, also use Data Processing Engine. After you create a record rollup definition that specifies the objects, filter conditions, and join conditions you need, configure and run a Data Processing Engine definition and a schedule-triggered flow to activate and sync the definition and aggregate the results.
