          Talent Recruitment Management Prerequisites

          Before you set up Talent Recruitment Management in Public Sector (formerly Public Sector Solutions), complete the prerequisites. With Salesforce Go, you can set up and configure Talent Recruitment Management from one streamlined setup location.

          Required Editions

          Assign Admin Permissions

          To assign permission sets and permission set groups:

          Assign these permission sets to anyone who sets up Talent Recruitment Management.

          • Action Plans
          • Criteria-Based Search and Filter
          • Data Pipelines Base User
          • Document Checklist
          • Dynamic Assessment Access
          • Industries Assessment
          • OmniStudio Admin
          • Talent Recruitment Management Specialist Access

          Alternatively, assign the users the Public_Sector_Solutions_Admin permission set group to assign them the required permission sets. The permission set group also provides access to additional common features.

          Enable Person Accounts

          Required Editions

          To enable person accounts: Customize Application AND View All Profiles

          You can’t turn off Person Accounts after they’re enabled. Before you enable Person Accounts, use a sandbox to preview how they affect your Salesforce org.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Person Accounts, and then select Person Accounts.
          2. Acknowledge the implications of using person accounts.
          3. Verify that the Account object has at least one record type.
          4. Verify that the user profiles that have Read permission on Accounts also have Read permission on Contacts.
          5. Set the org-wide default sharing for Contacts to Controlled by Parent or set the sharing settings for Accounts and Contacts to Private.
          6. Turn on Person Accounts.
            Salesforce creates the person account record type. If needed, create additional record types for Person Accounts.
          7. Under Optional Settings, enable Turn on the Reports To field on Person Account.
          8. Assign the person account record type to user profiles.

          Enable Talent Recruitment Management

          Required Editions

          To enable Talent Recruitment Management: Customize Application
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Talent, and then select Talent Recruitment Management.
          2. Turn on Manage talent recruitment and hiring.

          Enable Criteria-Based Search and Filter and Data Pipelines

          Required Editions

          To enable Criteria-Based Search and Filter: Customize Application
          To enable Data Pipelines: Data Pipelines Base User
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Criteria, and then select Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
          2. Turn on Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
          3. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Data Pipelines, and then select Get Started.
          4. Turn on Data Pipelines.

          Enable Standard Omnistudio Runtime

          Required Editions

          To enable Omnistudio settings: Customize Application

          To enable standard Omnistudio runtime, turn off the Omnistudio managed package runtime.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Omnistudio Settings, and then select Omnistudio Settings.
          2. Disable Managed Package Runtime.

          Enable Document Checklist Items

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Document Checklist, and then select Document Checklist Settings.
          2. Turn on Checklist Items with Attachments.

          Enable Digital Experiences

          Enable Discovery Framework.
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Discovery Framework, and then, under Assessments, select General Settings.
          2. Turn on Discovery Framework.

          Configure File Upload and Download Security in Public Sector

          Control how file types are handled during download and upload. For example, prevent users from uploading file types that are a security risk. Or show users PDF files in a browser window instead of downloading them.

          Customize the Talent Recruitment Management App's Navigation Menu

          Add items to the app’s navigation menu.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
          To edit the navigation menu: Customize Application AND Talent Recruitment Management Specialist Access
          1. In the Talent Recruitment Management app, from the app navigation menu, select Edit.
          2. Click Add More Items.
          3. Search for Vetting Evaluations, and select Vetting Evaluations and Employment Offer Vetting Evaluations.
          4. Add the items to the navigation menu and save your changes.
          5. Similarly, add the Employee and Employer navigation items.
