Set Up the Job Recommendation Agent
Create the agent from the template, assign user access, and deploy it to your Experience Cloud site.
Required Editions
Create and Activate the Agent
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Agentforce Agents, and select Agentforce Agents.
- Click New Agent.
- Select Create from a Template.
- Choose the Agentforce Employee Agent template and click Next.
- Select the Job Recommendation topic to include its actions. Click Next.
- Fill in the agent details (Name, API Name, Description, Role).

Click Create.
The agent opens in Agentforce Builder.
- In Agentforce Builder, review the added Job Recommendation topic and its associated actions.
- Click Activate.
Assign Agent Access to Applicants
- Create a new Permission Set (for example, Access Job Rec Agent).
- In the permission set, go to Agent Access.
- Click Edit and add the Job Recommendation Agent to the Enabled Agents list.
- Save the permission set.
- Assign this Permission Set to your Applicant users who should have access to the agent.
Deploy the Agent
- Configure the Omni-Channel Flow: Select Agentforce Employee Agent in the Route Work action and select the Job Recommendation Agent you created.
- Configure the Messaging Channel: Ensure you enable Add User Verification.
- Navigate to your Applicant Portal site via Digital Experiences > All Sites > Builder.
- Drag the Embedded Messaging component onto your desired page(s).
- Configure the component: Select the Embedded Service Deployment you created.
- Crucially, enable Add credential-based user verification. This allows the agent to identify the logged-in applicant.
- Publish your Experience Cloud site.
Next Steps:
- Test the agent thoroughly from the Applicant Portal as a logged-in test user. Ensure profile updates are reflected and recommendations are relevant.
- Review the specific actions within the Job Recommendation topic in Agentforce Builder to understand the agent's capabilities further.
