In subscription selling, it’s common to book a sale, but defer the start of the
subscription for a future date. To adjust the start date, sales users can amend a subscription,
provided the original start date hasn't occurred yet.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions of
Revenue Cloud where Transaction Management is enabled
User Permissions Needed
To amend start dates:
InitiateAmendment API permission set
AND
Sales Rep permission group
Before you begin, review these requirements when adjusting subscription start dates.
You can't amend the start dates of rampable products.
You can change the start date only if the amendment start date is later than today's
date.
You change the start date multiple times, if necessary.
On the quotes page, find and review the quote where you want to adjust the start date of an
asset.
On the Account page, under the Assets tab, select the asset included in your quote.
In the Managed Assets viewer, select Amend and select a new
date.
To set the amendment start date, select one of these options.
Use the subscription start date for the amendment start
date
Enter a new Amendment Date
Click Submit.
