Starting
Spring
’21, the Retail Store and Account objects share a Master Detail relationship,
which allows Retail Store to inherit sharing rules from Account. So, it’s not required to define
custom sharing rules separately for Retail Store. We’ve added an attribute,
isTopLevelWithMD, to the Retail Store object and made the default sharing model as
Controlled by Parent.
Required Editions
Available in Lightning Experience in Professional, Unlimited, and
Enterprise Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
If you have been using Consumer Goods before
Spring
’21, your current sharing settings remain the way you’ve defined them. If you
want to control the sharing from Account, you can do so by modifying the sharing settings option
on the Retail Store object.
