Product Configurator Implementation Requirements for Experience Cloud

Product Configurator Implementation Requirements for Experience Cloud

To enable Product Configurator for customers and partners, assign the permissions and permission sets and enable read access to the objects and fields that are required for Experience Cloud users.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Developer, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions of Revenue Management where Product Configurator is enabled

User Permissions Needed
To use Product Configurator:	Product Configurator permission set

To enable the Product Configurator permission for an Experience Cloud user, create a custom permission set and add the Product Configurator permission to it, then assign the customer permission set to the user.
Note You can't assign the Product Configurator permission set directly to an Experience Cloud user.
To give Experience Cloud users access to Quote Line Item, Revenue Transaction Error Log, and other objects required for using Product Configurator, assign Experience Cloud users the Create Orders from Quotes for [license name] permission set and the Price and Tax Calculations on Quotes for [license name] permission set for the relevant Experience Cloud license, such as the Partner Community License, the Customer Community Plus License, or other.
To give Experience Cloud users access to all child records and related object records for a given product, complete the steps in Record Sharing in Product Catalog Management. .
Enable read access to the Application Usage Assignments object and to the Period Boundary and Subscription Term fields on the Order Product object.
If Constraint Rules Engine is enabled, enable read access to the ConstraintEngineNodeStatus custom field on the Quote Line Item, Order Product (OrderItem), and Asset Action Source objects. See Create Custom Field and Define Apex Triggers.
