            Create a Promotion Mapping for Product Discovery and Map the Field

            To show promotions based on channels on the Browse Catalogs page, map the custom field to your Product Discovery context definition.

            Add an Attribute

            1. From Setup, find and select Context Definitions.
            2. Click Custom Definitions.
            3. Click your extended Product Discovery context definition.
              If you’re using the prebuilt context definition, extend your ProductDiscoveryContext context definition.
            4. Click Edit.
            5. Click Next until you reach the Edit Attributes page.
            6. On the Edit Attributes page, add an attribute to the Account node.
              1. Click Account.
              2. For Name, enter Channel__c.
              3. For Type, select Input.
              4. For Data Type, select String.
              5. Click Next.
            7. On the Edit Attribute Tags page, click Generate All Tags, and then click Retain and Regenerate.
            8. Save your changes.

            Map the Attribute

            1. Open your extended Product Discovery context definition.
            2. On the Map Data tab, click Add Mapping.
            3. Enter a name and description for context mapping, and click Next.
            4. Deselect options such that only Association is selected, and then click Map.
            5. Click Select Object.
            6. Click Context Definition.
            7. Click Proceed.
            8. Select your extended sales transaction context definition, and then click Confirm.
            9. Map these nodes and attributes, and save your changes.

              Note See the prebuilt ProductDiscoveryPromoMapping for reference. It contains all mappings except for the channel mapping.
            10. Click Back to return to the context definition page.
            11. Click Context Definitions next to ProductDiscoveryMapping, and then select Edit SObject Mapping.
            12. Select Mark as Default, and then click Map.
            13. If you don’t see Account in the Connect Objects section, add it as a data source.
              1. Click Edit.
              2. Click Salesforce Objects.
              3. Find and select Account.
              4. Click Add Object.
              5. Click Done.
            14. Map Channel__c under Account in the context definition to Engagement_Channel_Type__c | Id in the Account object.
            15. Map id in context definition to Id in Account.
            16. Save your changes.
            17. Click Back to return to the context definition page.
            18. Activate your context definition.
