          Obligation Management Configuration

          Obligation Management Configuration

Achieve compliance, fulfill contractual commitments, and proactively mitigate risks by using the Obligation Management feature in Salesforce Contracts.

          • Create Obligation Status Picklist Value
The default obligation statuses are Compliant, Non-Compliant, and At Risk. Configure additional custom obligation statuses. These custom obligation statuses are available when you create and update any obligation.
          • Activate Obligations Based on Contract Status
Configure the Activate Obligations Based on Contract Status setting to control when obligations transition from On Hold to Active, Inactive, or Expired. The default value is Activated.
          • Configuration of Obligation Notifications
The CLM admin can notify your users with timely email and in-app notifications for obligations. In-app notifications are enabled by default, and you can disable email notifications. The notifications trigger when an obligation is assigned or deleted or when the obligation status or metadata is updated.
          • Define Sharing Settings for Obligations
To make the obligation records created by your obligation manager accessible to all users within an org, system admins must define the sharing settings.
