Salesforce Contracts Spring '24 Release Notes

Use Contracts AI in Salesforce Contracts to create clauses and digitize legacy contracts by using generative AI. Contract authors can now facilitate collaborative external contract reviews. Document template designers can use the new document template designer to create templates. Also, use the several new organizational preference settings to better manage the Salesforce Contracts features.

• Facilitate Collaborative Negotiations with External Reviewers
  Initiate contract reviews directly from the Salesforce Contracts Connector for Word add-in to eliminate document downloads and reduce email reliance. Add or remove editors, monitor individual review status, and track changes and comments from each reviewer.
• Quickly Design Document Templates Without a Managed Package
  Use Design Document Template to design and generate documents from templates in Microsoft Word (.docx), Microsoft 365 Word (.docx), and Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) formats. Existing customers who use Omnistudio or Industries managed packages can also use the capabilities of this new template designer.

  Use generative AI to change how your business handles contracts, clauses, and documents. Contracts AI streamlines the labor-intensive process of drafting clauses for legal agreements and enables the efficient extraction of contract details and clauses from complex PDFs. Einstein boosts your productivity, accuracy, and compliance in the digital age.
• Enable Salesforce Contracts Setting
  Manage contract lifecycles and generate contract documents by using Salesforce Contracts. Salesforce admins must enable the Salesforce Contracts setting for new customers who wish to use Salesforce Contracts features. This setting is enabled by default for existing customers who upgrade to Spring ‘24.
• Enable Customer Community Plus for Salesforce Contracts Setting
  For the Customer Community Plus users to access contracts via APIs, their org must be provisioned with the Customer Community Plus licenses. Also, Salesforce admins must enable the Customer Community Plus for Salesforce Contracts setting.
• Enable Design Document Templates in Salesforce
  Use the Design Document Template to create DOCX, PPT, and Microsoft 365 Word templates in Salesforce. You can also integrate tokens or variables for data merging from JSON. If you already installed the Omnistudio Document Generation managed package, you can continue to use the default Document Template Designer by not enabling the Design Document Templates in the Salesforce setting.
• New and Changed Salesforce Contracts Connect APIs
  Integrate intranet sites, and third-party web applications with Salesforce using Salesforce Contracts Connect REST API. These resources are new or have changes.
