Usage resource is an entitlement or service that you grant your customers along with a
product that you sell. Before you define rates and rate adjustments for usage resources, create
usage resources for your products.
From the App Launcher, find and select Usage Resources.
Click New.
Enter a name and a unique identifier code.
If necessary, select a unit of measure class and the default unit of measure.
Select a resource category.
Currency - for resources of type Currency
Token - for resources of type Tokens
Usage - for resources of type Usage
Select a status.
Draft
Indicates that this record is still open for modifications. This is the default
value.
Active
Indicates that Usage Management is using this record for resource consumption
calculations and you can make limited modifications.
Inactive
Indicates that the record is not in use.
To associate the usage resource to a sellable product, select a usage definition
product.
If necessary, select a usage aggregation policy.
Save your changes.
