Inquire About the Status of an Authorization Request
As an authorization coordinator at the provider’s office, your responsibility doesn’t
end with submitting a request to the payer. Utilization Management’s OmniStudio-based guided
workflow for the Inquiry process is integrated with payer systems, so you can quickly get updates
on submitted requests that help you make informed decisions about a patient’s
treatment.

User Permissions Needed
To inquire about a request:
Utilization Management Provider User permission set
AND
OmniStudio User
permission set
Go to the case record for the authorization request.
Click Inquire Status.
In the Inquire Case Status window, review the case details.
Click Inquire.
You see the latest authorization request details received from the payer in the View
Request Summary screen. Review the status of the case and any additional notes from the payer.
It may take a while to receive this information from the payer and save the information in
Health Cloud.
