          Add Documentation and Submit an Authorization Request

          Add clinical documentation to support the authorization request. Before submitting the authorization request, review the details to ensure everything is correct.

          Required Editions

          Before you perform this task, select a service request for the authorization request.

          Available in: Lightning Experience

          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud

          User Permissions Needed
          To add documentation and submit a request:

          Utilization Management Provider User permission set

          AND

          OmniStudio User permission set

          1. Enter the document name and upload the clinical documentation. Add up to six documents with a total maximum size of 80 KB.
          2. Select the request type, priority, and member plan.
          3. Click Show Details.
          4. Review the requesting provider’s name and address, clinical encounter details of the patient, and member plan information.
          5. Submit the authorization request.
            Salesforce sends your authorization request to the payer and creates a case to help you track the status of the request.
