          Tip
Tip When you’re ready to set up things, go to the Guidance Center for personalized help right inside the app. Then, look for Manage Salesforce Scheduler.
          1. Launch the Salesforce Scheduler Setup App
The Salesforce Scheduler Setup app provides all the Salesforce Scheduler resources in one place (in the form of object tabs) and makes it easier for administrators to create, configure, and manage those resources. Assign the Salesforce Scheduler Setup app to the user profile of your admin who will create and manage Salesforce Scheduler resources.
          2. Explore the Salesforce Scheduler Setup Assistant (Optional)
The Salesforce Scheduler Setup app includes a Salesforce Scheduler Setup Assistant tool that you can use to perform key setup tasks, including assigning permission sets, creating appointment resources, and embedding appointment scheduling into leads and referrals, cases, opportunities, and accounts. Alternatively, you can perform these tasks from Setup and object tabs in the Salesforce Scheduler Setup app.
          3. Configure Related Lists for Salesforce Scheduler Object Page Layouts
Configure related lists for Salesforce Scheduler objects so that Salesforce Scheduler users can easily access more details related to an object record. For example, after you create a service territory, from the Service Territory Members related list, you can assign a service resource to the service territory. And from the Service Territory Work Types related list, you can assign a work type to the service territory.
          4. Set Up Service Territories in Salesforce Scheduler
Create and configure service territories to organize your service resources and ensure that they’re assigned to appointments near their home branch.
          5. Create Skills in Salesforce Scheduler
To get started with skills for Salesforce Scheduler, create basic skills in your org. When you assign skills to service resources or mark them as required on work types, you can add details like skill level and duration.
          6. Set Up Service Resources in Salesforce Scheduler
Create service resources to represent your employee attendees.
          7. Set Up Work Type Groups and Work Types in Salesforce Scheduler
Streamline appointment scheduling by creating work type groups (appointment topics) and work types (appointment templates).
          8. How Work Types, Work Type Groups, and Service Territories Work Together
Work types are appointment templates that define key parameters, such as appointment duration, preparation and wrap-up buffers, and availability time frame. Work types also map skill requirements for work type groups to ensure that users can create appointments only with service resources who have the necessary skills. A work type links service territories (branch or office locations) to work type groups (appointment topics).
          9. Customize Default Appointment Types in Salesforce Scheduler
Customize the default appointment types that are available when users create appointments in Salesforce Scheduler.
          10. Change Labels in Flow Screens
To use your company's terminology, change the tab names and field names of Service Resource, Service Territory, Service Appointments, Work Type Group, and Work Type.
          11. Manage Objects’ Data Translations
You can manage data translation for Work Type Group, Service Territory, and Service Resource objects. Use data translation to build Scheduler’s appointment booking experience in multiple languages. For example, you can translate the work type group names and their description to Spanish for a customer who uses the website in Spanish to schedule appointments.
          12. Example of How to Isolate Data Between Partners
This example shows how to set up partners such that they’re unable to access each other’s data.
          13. Set Up Payments in Salesforce Scheduler
Streamline appointment bookings with the ability to pay for service appointments. Salesforce Scheduler uses Salesforce Payments to integrate payments into inbound and outbound appointment booking flows.
          14. Set Up Agentforce for Scheduler
Agentforce gives you an easy way to manage appointments within Scheduler with natural language interactions.
