Content Builder

Content Builder is our cross-channel content management tool that allows you to consolidate images, documents, and content in a single location for use in Marketing Cloud Engagement. With an easy-to-use, drag and drop interface, Content Builder is more efficient than our previous create and edit tools. Content Builder also includes the content repository (CMS) and API, the content management application (formerly referred to as Content Canvas), and the new HTML content editor (formerly referred to as Content Builder).

  Content Builder consolidates images, documents, and content in a single location for use in Marketing Cloud Engagement. Create subject lines and body copy for messages by harnessing the power of Einstein generative AI. Use the third-party Typeface integration option to generate images to completely tailor your message.

• Upload Files
  Upload content to Content Builder by dragging and dropping existing content, by browsing your computer for the content, or by uploading content from an external URL. The maximum file size per file is 5 MB.
• Create Emails in Content Builder
  Use this task to create an email in Content Builder for Marketing Cloud Engagement. Email names must be unique within a folder.

  Use Content Builder to create templates by pasting HTML or using a layout tool.

  Create SMS, push notification, and LINE messages in Marketing Cloud Engagement Content Builder.

  Use content blocks to create reusable modular content for messages. Manage content blocks in Content Builder.
• Create a Code Snippet
  Use code snippets in Marketing Cloud Engagement Content Builder to save reusable bits of HTML, AMPscript, and Guide Template Language. Insert snippets when editing HTML via the Code Snippets toolbar selector, or by typing the Customer Key value for the snippet followed by the Tab key. You can also create a code snippet content block by clicking Create > Content Blocks > Code Snippet. You can reference Code Snippets with the AMPscript ContentBlockByKey and ContentBlockByID functions.
• Share Content
  The share content feature allows you to share content, templates, and emails with other business units in your account. Enterprise 2.0 accounts, you can share from any business unit to any other business unit. For Enterprise 1.0 and Agency accounts you can share down to child business units. Contact your relationship manager to enable this feature.
• Duplicate Content
  Use duplicate content in Content Builder to copy the style or format of a previously created content asset. We recommend copying the structure of a piece of content before adding actual content. When duplicating a content area in an email or template, the duplicate option is disabled if the content area block limit is reached.

  To review and approve content in Content Builder, use Approvals.
• Content Builder Tags
  Create and manage nested and Einstein tags in Marketing Cloud Engagement Content Builder.
• Sitecore Content
  Sitecore content is available via Sitecore Connect for Marketing Cloud Engagement, which enables a real-time sync of images created and updated in Sitecore to Content Builder.
• Content Builder Recycle Bin
  Content Builder Recycle Bin is a repository for recently deleted items that can be restored to Marketing Cloud Engagement. Items moved to the Recycle Bin are unavailable in emails and journeys. You can restore items from the Recycle Bin and use them again.
