          Send Throttling

          Send Throttling

Throttling limits the maximum number of outbound messages MobilePush queues to send in a specified time period. Throttling limits a specified time period. Consider throttling if you are concerned that your internal resources won’t be able to handle the traffic caused by all the users engaging with your app.

Most customers throttle messages per minute. The maximum limit you can set is 999,999 messages per minute.

This setting does not mean that MobilePush sends the maximum number of messages. It means that MobilePush aims to send no more than the maximum number. This setting also does not evenly space the messages over the time period; it completes the sends and waits for the next time period to begin.

Enter a send throttle limit on the Review and Send screen when you create a push notification.
