          Troubleshoot Failed Messages and Jobs

Common reasons for message failure and troubleshooting steps in MobilePush.

          Common Causes

Messages and jobs can fail for several reasons, including but not limited to:

          • Expired Apple Push Notification service (APNs) certificates
          • Failed audience
          • Invalid AMPscript
          • Network failure

For example, there can be a network failure between MobilePush and Google or Apple, or there can be an issue with the audience of the message.

          Troubleshooting

Before you contact Salesforce Customer Support, try these troubleshooting steps:

          • Click Edit Audience on the message to refresh the audience.
          • Validate that your AMPscript is valid with a smaller audience of test devices.
          • Ensure that your APNs certificate is valid if you are sending to Apple devices. APNs certificates are active for one year. If your certificates expired, update them in AppCenter.

Resend the message after you confirm that everything on this page works. If your message still fails, open a case with Salesforce Customer Support.
