What to Know About Exporting Your Catalog Data

What to Know About Exporting Your Catalog Data

The catalog data export tool enables you to export your entire Marketing Cloud Personalization catalog to a CSV file for use in Data 360 sandboxes. Make sure to review this information to understand what is exported, and where it goes.

When using the data export tool, keep these considerations in mind:

          • The CSV files produced by the catalog export tool are intended for use in only sandbox data spaces.
          • All catalog objects for all enabled catalog object types are exported, except for any archived items.
          • All associated object fields are exported.
          • All custom attributes and relationships are exported.
          • The complete CSV file is exported to your customer bucket on the Marketing Cloud Personalization SFTP file server. You can’t modify this destination.
          • After exporting your catalog to the SFTP file server, you can upload it to Data 360.
          • Never use Marketing Cloud Personalization as a source of catalog data on an ongoing basis.

The catalog data export tool enables Marketing Cloud Personalization customers to:

          • Quickly try Salesforce Personalization use cases in Data 360 sandboxes using their own business data.
          • Avoid the time-consuming process of setting up a complete integration early in Sales or Implementation stages.
          • Better understand file formatting requirements in Data 360.
