Marketing Cloud Next for Personalization Requirements

Marketing Cloud Next for Personalization is intended only for customers currently using Marketing Cloud Personalization, and requires the use of a specific edition and certain Salesforce products.

Before you begin, in addition to having a working version of Marketing Cloud Personalization, make sure to enable the Marketing Cloud Personalization SDK and the Data 360 SDK to coexist on the same website.

• The Salesforce MC Personalization+ edition enables the use of both the Marketing Cloud Personalization and Salesforce Personalization products on the same org. They can’t coexist without it! Contact your Salesforce Customer Representative for details.
• If you don’t have access to MC Personalization+ Edition, but have access to Salesforce Personalization, you can enable coexistence in the Salesforce Personalization Setup from the Marketing Cloud Next: Enable SDK Website Coexistence page.

The Marketing Cloud Personalization SDK and Data 360 SDK leveraged the same namespace of Salesforce Interactions. To make it safe to use the two products together, the coexistence capability changes the namespace on the Data 360 side. No modifications are required within the Data 360 sitemap.

Before performing any procedures to enable Marketing Cloud Next for Personalization, also make sure that:

• Data 360 is configured and operational.
  

  Note Data 360 isn't required to quote the MC Personalization+ edition, but it's required to use Salesforce Personalization capabilities.
• Salesforce Personalization is set up using its foundational data and is enabled.
