Using the Conversion Report
Following sitemap conversion, the sitemap conversion tool provides a report detailing the changes made, any errors during the conversion process, and other areas of the sitemap that require added attention.
The top of the conversion report column provides buttons containing statistical information about the conversion. Clicking on any button shifts the report column view to a section providing itemized actions required to repair the sitemap for use in Data 360, or informational details about changes applied to the sitemap.
| Category | Button | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Action | Errors | Lists issues that require manual intervention before the sitemap can function. For example, code settings that require mandatory repair or replacing functions that no longer exist. |
| To-Do | Identifies incomplete conversion where the tool successfully migrated the structure, but couldn’t determine specific business logic settings for completion. The conversion process leaves placeholder values that require manual intervention. For example, manually replacing placeholders with specific strings. |
|
| Review | These messages call out any Marketing Cloud Personalization (Evergage-specific) values that were removed, non-critical changes requiring validation, any omitted configuration (like explicit consent), and so on. These changes are non-blocking. However, we strongly suggest reviewing them prior to deployment of your sitemap. |
|
| Information | Applied | Complete list of applied changes to the sitemap during conversion. |
| Info | List of deprecated features removed or optional JavaScript code refactoring suggestions where appropriate. |
When using the conversion report, keep these considerations in mind:
- Each individual message in the report also acts as a link to the specific sitemap location described. Clicking any report message shifts the output view in the center column to the associated sitemap location.
- Wherever possible, each message provides additional details about changes made, guidance for any proposed changes, or other contextual information associated directly with the message. To open and view this additional information, click the right arrow ( > ) next to the message.
- When you select any Action or Information button, the report remains fixed on that view until you click another button to change it.
- To reset the conversion report to the initial view, click the View All button.
