User Deletion Impact on Reports
In Marketing Cloud Personalization, some reports run on cumulative statistics, whereas others run on data that's aggregated across individual records. Because reports can use different data gathering or accumulation methods, natural reporting discrepancies can occur when individual records are deleted from the dataset.
Accumulated data, used to show influenced revenue for a dataset or global campaign statistics, is stored separately and doesn’t change when an individual record, like a user profile, is deleted. Aggregated data, like the number of campaign impressions, changes when individual records, like user profiles, are removed.
User Deletion Defined
User deletion refers to deleting a user profile from the dataset. Each of these topics describes deleting user profiles using different methods.
