Set Up Identity Types for Segment Exports

You must set up the identity types in the Personalization system to support exporting Personalization segments to Journey Builder.

Permissions Needed
To create identity types:	A role with Create/Edit permissions

From the main navigation, select Settings | Identity Types.
Check the list of identity types for the Marketing Cloud Engagement contact key and email address identity types.
If the identities exist, you don’t need to do anything. If they don’t exist, click Add New Record.
For the contact key identity type:
1. Enter “sfmcContactKey” in the ID field.
2. Enter “Marketing Cloud Engagement contact key” in the Label field.
3. Select Identity Namespace from the Uniqueness dropdown.
4. Select false from the Case-Sensitive dropdown.
5. Click the checkmark icon.
Click Add New Record.
For the email address identity type:
1. Enter “emailAddress” as the ID field.
2. Enter “Email Address” in the Label field.
3. Select Identity Namespace from the Uniqueness dropdown.
4. Select false from the Case-Sensitive dropdown.
5. Click the checkmark icon.
