            Change Survey Navigation Behavior

            You can control how survey navigation buttons appear and behave. You can also change how the survey behaves when respondents click a navigation button.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Premium Edition
            Permissions Needed
            To create a survey: A role with Configure Dataset and Campaign View or higher permissions
            To edit a survey: A role with Configure Dataset and Campaign View or higher permissions
            1. Create or edit a survey.
            2. Click Setup.
            3. In the Navigation section, select the options to control survey navigation and behavior.
            4. To edit survey navigation button text, enter button text for:
              Item Description
              Page previous button text The default text is “Previous.”
              Page next button text The default text is “Next.”
              Complete button text The default text is “Complete.”
              Start button text (The default text for this button is “Start.”)
            5. Select additional navigation options as needed:
              Item Description
              Show navigation buttons To show navigation buttons.
              Show previous button To allow survey respondent to return to a previous page, select this checkbox; to remove the previous button, deselect this checkbox.
              The first page in the survey is a started page To show a welcome page as the start page instead of the first survey question, select this checkbox. A developer can provide configurable options for the start page in the web campaign template. For more information, see the developer documentation for Web Surveys.
              Show the completed page at the end (completedHtml) To show the completion page at the end of the survey, select this checkbox. A developer can provide configurable options for the completed page in the web campaign template. For more information, see Web Surveys.
              On answering all questions, go to the next page automatically Proceed to the next page automatically when all questions are answered.
              Show progress bar To add a progress bar for surveys with multiple pages, select either top or bottom of the survey as the progress bar location.
              Show all elements on one page If your survey has multiple pages, this option shows all questions (elements) on a single page.
            6. Save your survey.
