Your Marketing Cloud Personalization account includes a set of built-in global
templates that your developer can clone to create custom web campaign templates. Each template
provides a structure for delivering personalized experiences and activation campaigns to your
website users. You can also clone your custom templates to create additional
templates.
Required Editions
Permissions Needed
To clone a template:
A role with Template > Create/Edit permissions
Navigate to your website that has the template you want to clone.
Click the Extensions icon in your browser’s toolbar and select Salesforce Interactions SDK Launcher.
Enter your login credentials.
Turn on the Visual Editor option.
From the Visual Editor hexagon tiles, select Templates > View List.
On the Templates tab, search for and locate the custom template you want to clone.
Click the Clone icon.
Note To clone a built-in template, click the Global Templates
tab and then click Clone Global Template. Alternatively,
rather than use the Visual Editor to select a template, you can select
Web > Web Templates from the Campaigns
& Campaigns section of the main navigation in Marketing Cloud
Personalization and click Clone.
The template opens in the template editor with the original template name preceded by [CLONE].
Click the name and edit it as necessary.
Click Save.
Note The template remains in a draft state until you click Publish.
Make any necessary modifications, and click Save.
Note Personalization stores all cloned templates on the
Templates tab.
When you’re done modifying the template, click Publish.
Click Close or Save & Close.
Use the template to create a web campaign.
