Considerations for Ingesting Engagement Data from Account Engagement into Data 360
Before you have Data 360 ingest marketing asset engagement data from Account Engagement, review these considerations.
Required Editions
| Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement |
Ingestion Criteria
When all of these criteria are met, Data 360 ingests Account Engagement engagement data into Data 360.
- Activity Timing: The engagement activity occurs after the Filter By Date that you specify in the Account Engagement Data 360 connector.
- Prospect Sync: The prospect performing the activity is already synced with Salesforce CRM via the Account Engagement Salesforce Connector.
- Connected Campaigns: The engagement takes place on a marketing asset record with a connected campaign that’s syncing with Salesforce CRM.
Engagement Data Exceptions
These types of engagement data aren't ingested through the Data 360 connector in Account Engagement.
- Unassociated Prospects: Activities from prospects that aren't linked to a Salesforce lead, contact, or person account record.
- Operational Emails: Engagement data from operational emails, such as password resets or system notifications.
- Email Preference Opens: Email Preference Center views that occur when prospects manage their subscription settings.
Amount of Time Needed for Ingesting
When Data 360 starts ingesting engagement data from Account Engagement, it can take days or weeks to complete the first ingestion. The initial ingestion duration depends on the number of eligible activities.
After the first ingestion, Account Engagement prepares new engagement activities for ingestion as they’re created. This process begins within minutes of the activity, but it can take hours or days depending on the number of new activities. Data 360 checks every hour for new activity data that's ready for ingestion.
Data 360 Credits
You can ingest as many activities as you want from Account Engagement. However, each ingestion consumes Data 360 credits. The number of credits consumed is based on the number of activities within the ingestion.
Removing Data from Data 360
To remove engagement data, pause the Data 360 connector in Account Engagement. Then, to delete the data in Data 360, remove the related data stream.
Updating the Look Back date in the Data 360 connector settings doesn't remove data from Data 360.
