Delete Visitor Records to Restore Paused Prospects
A prospect is paused when their activity level is high enough to impact Account
Engagement performance, including prospects used for testing. You can restore a prospect by
permanently deleting their visitor records. A paused prospect is restored when they have fewer
than 1,000 visitor records.

To permanently delete prospect visitor records:
Administrator Role
Keep these guidelines in mind when you delete prospect visitor records.
You can delete visitor records only when the prospect is paused.
You can’t restore deleted visitor records.
Deleting a prospect’s visitor records doesn’t guarantee that the prospect won’t be
paused again in the future. If the prospect exhibits enough bot-like activity, they’re
paused again. If a prospect continues to be paused, we recommend removing the prospect
record entirely.
On a paused prospect record or on the prospect Visitors tab, click
Tools and select Delete Visitor
Records.
Confirm the deletion is permanent, and click Next.
Delete the visitor records created before the recommended date or choose a date, and
then click Next.
The Prospect Status, Visitor Records to be Deleted, and Visitor Records Not Deleted
fields dynamically adjust based on the date chosen. A paused prospect is restored when
they have fewer than 1,000 visitor records.
Confirm the deletion, and click Delete.
When the deletion process starts, click Done.
Review the visitor deletion confirmation emails to ensure that enough visitor records
were deleted to restore the paused prospect.
Automatically Delete Excessive Visitor Records
Open the settings for your business unit.
In Account Engagement, click and then select
Settings.
In the Lightning app, select Account Engagement
Settings.
Click Edit, select Visitor Importance Time
Frame, and choose the date range after which visitor records are
automatically deleted.
Enable After the Visitor Importance Time Frame lapses, automatically
delete all visitor records for prospects that show bot-like activities or are
paused.
