Prepare Account Engagement Content for Campaigns in Marketing Cloud

Prepare Account Engagement Content for Campaigns in Marketing Cloud

Reuse your Account Engagement content in Marketing Cloud campaigns by copying assets to Salesforce CMS. Marketing Cloud allows users to share content across CMS workspaces from a source workspace in the Shared with Workspaces folder.

          Required Editions

Available in: Account Engagement Growth, Plus, Advanced, or Premium Edition

You can copy emails, images, files, forms, and landing pages from Account Engagement to CMS. For the purpose of this documentation, we describe how to enable Copy to CMS and copy your existing image files for use in a Marketing Cloud email.

          Sharing Content Across Workspaces

Marketers can use their Account Engagement content for future marketing campaigns by copying assets to a CMS Marketing workspace in Salesforce. To share content across workspaces, a content admin or manager must configure the workspace settings to permit sharing. Once set up, users can easily find and use shared content, such as branded images, across different departments, streamlining the content management process.

When you use the new email experience for Account Engagement, an enhanced CMS workspace named “Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement” is created. If you are working directly in Marketing Cloud to create an email, the automatically created workspace is called “Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud.” You can share content between enhanced workspaces in the Shared with Workspaces folder, which is included in each workspace. This sharing of content allows you to use images you copy from Account Engagement in your Marketing Cloud campaigns.

For more information, see Organize and Share Content in a Workspace for Marketing Cloud and Adding Account Engagement Marketing Content to Salesforce CMS.

          Note
Note Content can't be exported from the default CMS workspace labeled "Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement".

Copy Account Engagement Images to CMS

To use existing Account Engagement images in the new email experience, copy your images to a CMS workspace.

          1. In the banner in Account Engagement, which describes the new Copy to CMS feature, click Go to Setup.
In Account Engagement Classic, the banner displays under Content and Files. In the Lightning app, it’s on the Content tab under Files.
          2. For your business unit, enable Copy to CMS.
An enhanced CMS workspace named “Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement - Copied Content - [Business Unit Name]” is added to your business unit. Don’t change the name of this workspace.
          3. Add the contributors that can access the workspace. See Add Contributors to a CMS Workspace.
          4. In the Account Engagement Lightning app, on the Content tab, go to the Files section.
          5. From the View dropdown, select CMS Compatible, and then choose the files that you want to copy.
            • To copy an individual file, click gear icon next to it, and select Copy to CMS.
            • To copy multiple files, select the files, and from the dropdown under the table, select Copy to CMS. And then click Go.
          6. Share your Account Engagement images from the CMS where you copied them (for example, the CMS workspace named "Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement - Copied Content - [Business Unit Name]) to the Marketing Cloud “Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud.”
Content is shared between enhanced workspaces in the Shared with Workspaces folder.
          7. You can now use your copied Account Engagement images when creating a message for a campaign in Marketing Cloud.

Use the New Email Experience in Account Engagement

The new email experience for Account Engagement uses the Marketing Cloud content builder, which provides tools to build an email, preview and test, and publish.

          1. Find the Email Content object in the App Launcher, or add the Email Content tab to your Account Engagement Lightning app.
          2. Create an email or select an existing email content record, and click Edit in Builder.
          3. Select New Email Experience, which uses the Marketing Cloud content builder. When you use this email experience, an enhanced CMS workspace, called “Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement,” is automatically created for you to add and use images.

If you select Current Email Experience and add images, you must use a CMS workspace that’s compatible with the Version 1 non-enhanced workspace type. You can use any naming convention.

            Note
            Note

If you want to use Version 1 workspace content, such as Account Engagement images, in the new email experience, manually add the Version 1 content into the enhanced workspace named ”Content Workspace for Marketing Cloud Account Engagement.”

          4. Create and save your email. For detailed instructions on using the Marketing Cloud content builder, see Create an Email in Marketing Cloud.
