Create a Signup Form with a Campaign

Create a campaign flow so customers can opt in to receive your marketing messages. Start with a signup form flow template, build and customize the form, and configure settings to collect data for consent and lead records. You can host a signup form on a marketing landing page or your external website.

          Required Editions

Available in: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Marketing Cloud Next Growth or Advanced Edition, and in Starter and Pro Suite Editions. Your edition determines the options that you have.
          User Permissions Needed
To create and manage a campaign:

          Marketing Cloud Manager permission set

          OR

View Flows and Create and Edit Flows user permissions AND permissions to all elements in the flow

The signup form flow template automatically creates these assets for you and relates them to your campaign:

          • Form
          • (Optional) Landing page
          1. On the Campaigns tab, create a campaign.
          2. Name your campaign, enter the campaign details that you need, and click Save.
          3. From the Build Your Own tab, click Browse Templates | Signup Form | Next.
          4. Name your form-triggered flow and click Next.
          5. Configure data collection for the flow.
            1. Select the type of record to create when someone submits your form. Lead is selected by default.
            2. Select a marketing channel and communication subscription to record consent for when someone submits your form.
          6. Customize your form.
            1. Select a brand to apply to your form.
            2. Enter a header for your form.
            3. Add fields to your form. Depending on the channel you're collecting consent for, there are certain fields you can't remove.
            4. Customize the button that your audience clicks to submit the form.

          9. From the campaign record, open Flow Builder, review the consent details, and make any other customizations that you need. For example, add a Send Email element to the flow that sends a welcome message when someone submits your form.
          10. When you're ready, activate the flow and publish the form.
          11. Make the form accessible for your audience.
            • Copy the embed code for the form and add it to your external website.
            • To use the form on a marketing landing page, customize the landing page URL alias and then publish the landing page.

After you activate the flow and make the form available online, we recommend testing the form by submitting it with sample data.
