          Work with Campaigns

When you create a marketing campaign, the first task is to decide what flow to start with. You can add more flows to your campaign as you go and each flow can be as simple or as complex as you need.

          Required Editions

Available in: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Marketing Cloud Next Growth or Advanced Edition
          User Permissions Needed
To create and manage a campaign:

          Marketing Cloud Manager permission set

          OR

View Flows and Create and Edit Flows user permissions AND Permissions to all elements in the flow

To get started, create a campaign on the Campaigns tab, name your campaign, and save your work.

From the campaign record, decide how you want to create the first flow in your campaign.

          • Flow trigger—from the Build Your Own tab on the campaign, pick a trigger for your flow, and then build out your flow from there.
          • Flow template—to save you time, browse flow templates from the Build Your Own tab. Each flow template is a goal-driven flow preconfigured with key elements that you can customize or remove, such as a follow-up email.
          • Quick start—from the Quick Start tab, you can start with a common campaign use case. Each option comes with a preconfigured flow that includes CMS content, such as a customizable email.

From here, how you build the flow and add to the campaign is up to you. You can switch between flows in a campaign, design content in CMS to use in a flow, and open Flow Builder to create curated customer journeys. You can also add more flows to your campaign. Flows operate independently so activate each one to collect data or distribute content.
