Create a Promotion or Offer from a Brief with Agentforce
Instead of building a promotion or offer from scratch in the Offer Console, marketing
managers can capture their goals, eligibility criteria, and reward details in a promotion brief
or offer brief, and then use Agentforce to turn that brief into a live promotion or offer.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited,
and Developer Editions with Agentforce, Real-Time Offer Management, and Data
Cloud.
In Agent Builder, admins must add the Brief Preview, Offer Management: Brief Generation,
Offer Save, Promotion With Buy X Rule, and Promotion With Spend X Rule topics to the agent.
The agent can recognize the prompts in this workflow and run the appropriate actions only
after these topics are added.
A brief's Status field changes from Draft to Converted after you create a promotion or offer
from it.
From the Real-Time Offer Management console app, open the Planning tab and click
Briefs.
Click New and set the brief's usage type to
Promotion or Offer.
If you already have a promotion brief or offer brief, open it instead of creating a new
one.
Fill in the brief details, such as the name, description, promotion or offer name, start
and end dates, eligibility criteria, and reward, then save the brief.
If this brief is derived from another brief, use the Related Brief field to link it. If
the promotion or offer should be based on an existing record, add it as a reference record on
the brief.
From the brief record, launch Agentforce.
Ask the agent to generate a preview from the brief.
For example, enter Draft a promotion from this brief or
Draft an offer preview from this brief. See Agent Topics for Promotion
and Offer Briefs for more example utterances.
The agent drafts a promotion or offer based on the details in the brief and
displays it on the Promotion Preview or Offer Preview tab of the brief record.
Review the generated preview, and ask the agent to make changes if necessary.
Click the save button in the preview screen to save the promotion or offer preview.
The new promotion or offer is linked back to the brief as a reference record and appears in
the Related tab of the brief record. The brief's status changes to Converted.
Open the new promotion or offer from the brief's related list to configure any remaining
details, such as approval settings, that aren't captured on the brief.
