Change the Default Protocol for Tracker Domains

If your business unit was created before February 15, 2021, you can default tracker domains to use HTTP or HTTPS. We recommend securing all tracker domains by defaulting them to HTTPS. Business units created after February 15, 2021 default all tracker domains to HTTPS.

To set a tracker domain to HTTPS: Account Engagement Administrator role

To default a domain to HTTPS, first enable an SSL certificate for the tracker domain and set your company website to HTTPS. Resolve any mixed content in your marketing assets so that all external resources load over HTTPS.

          1. Open the Domain Management page.
            • In Account Engagement, select Admin and then select Domain Management.
            • In the Lightning app, select Account Engagement Settings and then Domain Management.
          2. Next to the domain you want to secure, click the gear icon, and select Default HTTPS or Default HTTP.
