Note
Pardot is now known as Marketing Cloud Account
Engagement. We wish we could snap our fingers to update the
name everywhere, but you can expect to see the previous name
in a few places until we replace it, including in the app
itself.
Before you set up Object Sync, make sure that Data Sync is turned on.
- In Marketing Setup, enter Object Sync in the Quick Find box and select Object Sync.
- Click Open Account Engagement, and then click Edit.
-
Select Allow field replication in Tableau CRM.
To enable Object Sync for multiple business units, repeat this step for each business unit.
-
In Marketing Setup, turn on Object Sync next to Enhance Syncing for Custom Prospect
Fields.

- To select which custom fields to include in your dataset, click Select Custom Fields.
-
Click the fields you want, select Include from the dropdown, and
click Go at the end of the list.
Your selection isn’t complete until you sync the fields in the next step. -
Back on the Object Sync page in Marketing Setup, click Sync
Now.
When you set up for the first time, we recommend that you sync twice to ensure that all data is carried over.
-
If you don’t have an Object Sync-enabled app, create one using the B2B Marketing
Analytics (Object Sync for Pardot) app template.
To get updated prospect field data, users must reconfigure their apps after you sync. Allow up to 24 hours for the new data to load.
Use the Marketing Setup page to sync the custom fields every time one is added, removed, or changed in Account Engagement. Then, notify users so that they can reconfigure their apps and receive the updates.
