          Build and Send Classic Emails

          Build and Send Classic Emails

The classic email builder in Account Engagement guides you through creating emails and templates that you can use again and again. Always test your emails and templates so that you can improve your content. In the classic email builder, you can easily move between editing and testing your content.

          • Navigating the Classic Builder
The classic email builder in Account Engagement is divided into three tabs: Building, Testing, and Sending. When you open an email or email template, you’re on the Building tab where you can compose and edit your email content. The Building tab works the same whether you’re editing a one-off email or a reusable email template.
          • Send a List Email
A lot goes into getting a quality marketing email out the door. It takes time to build your content, preview and test your email, and configure your send settings. Refer to these high-level steps as you build and send a classic email in Account Engagement.
          • Send a One-to-One Email
You can send an email to a single prospect from the prospect record in Account Engagement. This feature is useful to test sending a one-to-one email. For communicating with leads and contacts, we recommend sending one-to-one emails in Salesforce rather than Account Engagement.
          • Sender and Reply-To Options
You can configure a sender and a custom reply-to address for your classic email in Account Engagement. The sender is the name and email address that appears in a prospect’s inbox. Optionally, you can specify a different email address to receive replies from your prospects. If you don’t specify a reply-to email address, Account Engagement uses the sender email address.
          • Include Files in Emails
You can’t send files as attachments to your emails, but you can include them as links. Add a download link to your email content for files that you host in Account Engagement.
          • URL Encoding in Emails
To ensure that links resolve correctly, you must manually encode special characters that appear in the URL.
